A large part of Arkansas, including Little Rock, is under a heat advisory as temperatures again soar into the 90s, the National Weather Service said.

The agency said roughly the northern half of the state will be under the advisory through 7 p.m.

Highs Thursday are forecast in the mid-to-upper 90s for the entire state. When humidity is factored in, temperatures are expected to feel as hot as 105.

"The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible," the weather service said, adding people should keep hydrated, stay in air-conditioning as much as possible and avoid the sun.
