The H is for hypocrite

There are times when Hillary Rodham Clinton's customary hypo-crisy is so blatant it still shocks. Like last Thursday, when she stood by while her campaign put out a self-righteous news release blasting Donald Trump for not releasing videos of his testimony in a court case. "What's Donald trying to hide?" she wanted to know. Yet her representatives took the same legal position in an effort to block videos of her testimony in another court case from being released. The subject of that case was her notorious emails. With as much justification or lack thereof, a TV commercial could have been run asking: "What's Hillary trying to hide?"

It's all part of a presidential race that might best be described as a race to the bottom. But just when you think the bottom's been reached, a new low comes into view. The best guide to this year's ever lower presidential campaign may not be Fox News or the New York Times but Jacques Cousteau, whose stunning underwater photography went from depth to depth. They were beautiful. But hypocrisy never is.
