A customer was killed Thursday in a shooting at a southwest Little Rock diner, according to police.
A man in his late 50s to early 60s died after he was shot inside the Frontier Diner, 10424 Interstate 30, said Little Rock police officer Richard Hilgeman.
He said police were called to the scene at 12:27 p.m. to respond a shooting. Hilgeman did not disclose the circumstances leading up to the shooting and said police do not have a suspect in custody.
Hilgeman said the motive for the shooting was unknown at this time. It is the city's 15th homicide of the year.
Xiaoping Wang, the owner of Frontier Diner, said he heard about the shooting from his manager, who was working at the time of the shooting.
"I feel shocked," Wang said. "I can simply say that."
Wang, who has owned the diner since 1995, said he found it strange that the shooting happened midday, and not at night or in the early morning hours.
