Aaron Crift, 34, is to appear before a judge today, Pine Bluff police Lt. David De Foor said.

Crift, also known as "KC," was arrested Wednesday after witnesses told police that Crift shot James Murry, 44, on the front porch of Murry's house. Murry was taken Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where he died.

Witnesses told police that Murry was arguing with Crift's girlfriend before Crift arrived at Murry's residence, according to a news release from the Police Department.

Police said a witness heard a pop, went outside and saw Crift standing over Murry holding a pistol. Another witness told officers the gunman left in white SUV, officials said.

De Foor said detective Mike Sweeney saw the vehicle traveling west on 14th Street and pulled it over. Crift jumped out of the vehicle and ran into a residence where he was apprehended, De Foor said.
