Police identify Arkansas man fatally shot; 22-year-old sought

Hope police have identified the victim of Thursday's homicide as Tommy Hamilton Jr., 24, of Hope.

Police said in a news release that they've issued a warrant for Courvoisier Trotter on a first-degree murder charge.

Police are searching for a 22-year-old man after a Thursday afternoon homicide in Hope.

In a news release, the department said that officers are looking for Courvoisier Trotter of Hope in connection with a shooting that left one dead.

Around 4:30 p.m., officers were called to the 600 block of North Walker Street. Police said they found a black man with a gunshot wound in his chest lying in the yard at the address. He died after he was transported to Wadley Regional Medical Center.

Police said Trotter drove away from the scene in a black four-door Mazda and could be armed and dangerous.
