3 killed in 2 vehicle accidents

Vehicle crashes in Arkansas have killed three people since Wednesday, according to preliminary reports from the Arkansas State Police.

A Thursday morning crash in Little Rock killed two people and left a third person injured, according to a state police report.

Nathaniel Watson, 48, and Cleophus Bowie, 50, both of Little Rock, were traveling west on West 12th Street on a TaoTao scooter, state police said.

Around 12:56 a.m., Bowie, who was driving the scooter, disregarded a red light and crashed into a 2002 Ford Explorer that was going south on South Cedar Street, according to the report. Bowie and Watson were thrown from the scooter on impact, police said.

Bowie was pronounced dead at the scene, and Watson died from his injuries at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, state police said.

Alicia Sessions, 34, who was driving the Ford Explorer, was injured in the crash, according to the report.

A 68-year-old man also is dead after a motorcycle crash on Bingstore Road in Crittenden County on Wednesday afternoon, according to a state police report.

Thomas Nejedly and John Nejedly, 61, both of Sandusky, Ohio, were traveling north on a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle when Thomas Nejedly lost control of the vehicle, state police said. The motorcycle went off the right side of the road into a ditch at 2:22 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

Thomas Nejedly was pronounced dead at Regional Medical Center in Memphis, and John Nejedly was injured in the crash, police said.
