Where I live: Folks say it's near downtown [Little Rock]. I guess it kinda is.

Occupation: I'm a photographer with an emphasis in portraiture and a musician [with local bands Amasa Hines and Velvet Kente].

My favorite space is: I love my home. I'd have to say all of it is my favorite right now. I've also photographed quite a few clients in and around my home. The abundance of natural light makes it a prime space to do so.

Why? It's easily the most peaceful space I've had in my adult life. I feel like it's a manifestation of my desires to be someplace warm and freeing. Right now, I'm really drawn to the corner in my bedroom where I tend to set up my equipment and create songs or sonic sketches. I try to make something every day that I'm in town; typically during the day when my room is filled with diffused light. I believe that light finds its way into the energy of whatever flows from the source and into me on a given day.

If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: If the bedroom space extended to a balcony, that'd be nice. I could soak some sun before I started recording or take a breeze break and reflect a bit. It'd also be cool if I could get some Alvin Ailey dancers to come perform while I worked on a piece. I wonder what that would cost.
