Gospel Piano Concert

RUSSELLVILLE — The Rev. Rita Richardson of Central Christian Church in Russellville will present her annual gospel piano concert To God Be the Glory at 3 p.m. at 224 S. Independence. Audubon Society Meeting

PETIT JEAN MOUNTAIN — The Arkansas River Valley Audubon Society will meet at 7 p.m., on Petit Jean Mountain at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute in the Stables Classroom. QuickBooks Workshops

RUSSELLVILLE — The Arkansas Tech Small Business and Technology Development Center will present two hands-on workshops for QuickBooks desktop software users at Arkansas Tech. The 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. session, QuickBooks for Beginners, includes setup, reconciling accounts, working with lists, customers, vendors, assets and liabilities. The 1:30-4:30 p.m. session, QuickBooks Day-to-Day Basics, includes invoicing, receiving payments, bills, handling sales tax and more. Computers will be provided for use during the sessions. First Folio Friday at the Library

CONWAY — In celebration of the Shakespeare First Folio on display at the University of Central Arkansas, the Faulkner County Library will offer another family-friendly event. Third Thursday Farmers Market

FAIRFIELD BAY — The Third Thursday Farmers Market will be open from 9-11 a.m. July 21, Aug. 18, Sept. 15 and Oct. 20 in the Fairfield Bay Community Education Center Courtyard, 130 Village Lane. The market features plants, produce and herbs. Setup is at 8 a.m., and there are no vendor fees.

Tea Party Luncheon

CONWAY — The Faulkner County Tea Party has a luncheon at noon every Thursday at Larry’s Pizza, 1068 Markham St. Guest speakers and the members’ “soap box” are featured each week. Anyone interested in governmental and business affairs on the county, state or national level is invited to arrive early, eat pizza and meet the group’s members.

Maumelle Cardboard Boat Races

MAUMELLE — The Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce will present the third annual Cardboard Boat Races at 5:30 p.m. July 4 at Lake Willastein. Boat check-in will begin at 2 p.m., and the race will begin immediately after the parade. This year’s theme is American Heroes, and participants are encouraged to decorate their boats and attire. Teams will consist of two participants in each boat. All teams must have one participant 12 or older. Early-bird registration is $30 per team through Friday, then the cost will be $40 per team.
