Kadarian Robinson, 20, was agitated, police said, so officers got him to sit on the front bumper of the patrol car to talk. Someone standing on the front porch of a nearby home on East 14th Street told police that Robinson had a knife on his belt, according to the arrest report.

Officers found a hunting knife and then discovered that he had an arrest warrant from Oklahoma on burglary charges, according to the report.

After police handcuffed Robinson, he began trying to escape. When they pulled him back, he grabbed one officer's gun and tried to pull it out of the holster. The officer used his elbow to hold the gun down so Robinson could not get it, according to the report.

Police then forced Robinson to the ground to subdue him before taking him to jail, according to the report.

He was charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest, according to the report.
