North Little Rock police said a man arrested Friday for public intoxication spit in the face of an officer on the drive to the jail.

Timothy Duck, 30, was "causing a disturbance," on Washington Avenue in North Little Rock when officers found him. He was arrested outside his apartment because he appeared to be intoxicated, according to the arrest report.

While officers were driving him to jail, Duck got aggressive and started kicking the cage in the patrol car. He then started cursing before spitting through the metal. The spit hit the officer in the face, according to the report. Police said he also was charged with aggravated assault of a police officer.
