Little Rock Family Dollar robbed at gunpoint, police say

No injuries were reported after a Family Dollar store in southwest Little Rock was held up at gunpoint at around 1:10 p.m. Monday, police said.

Lt. Steve McClanahan, spokesman for the Little Rock Police Department, said the suspected robber was unable to take anything from the store at 2409 Baseline Road after trying to open the safe. The incident is still being investigated as a robbery.

Police said the suspect was a black man whose height ranged from 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10, and who weighs between 150-160 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie and shorts with white shoes with a black cloth and red bandana covering his face, McClanahan said.

McClanahan said the suspected robber was holding a silver semi-automatic handgun.
