Florida DB commits to Arkansas

Florida defensive back Jarques McClellion announced his commitment to Arkansas on Twitter.

McClellion, 6-1, 180, 4.41 of Delray Beach, (Fla.) American Hertiage picked the Hogs over offers from Nebraska, Michigan State, Louisville, Stanford, Wisconsin and others.

He becomes Arkansas' 16th commitment for the 2017 class.

McClellion said his relationship with Coach Bret Bielema and linebackers coach Vernon Hargreaves made him feel wanted and at home despite not having a chance to visit Fayetteville. He's looking to visit after the dead period.

He said Bielema stressed to him how he would be in hands. Hargreaves has been in contact with him everyday.

McClellion has best of 10.50 in the 100, 22.7 in the 200 and had 25-9 long jump. He said TCU and Texas recruited him for track.
