A masked man wearing a Batman shirt robbed a west Little Rock credit union at gunpoint Monday afternoon, police said.

The man held up the TruService Community Federal Credit Union at 11001 Hermitage Road with a silver 9 mm handgun before 3 p.m., said Lt. Steven McClanahan, a spokesman for the Little Rock Police Department. The thief did not fire any shots, and afterwards he ran north, McClanahan said.

The robber was described as about 275 pounds, about 6 foot 2-or-3 inches tall and black, McClanahan said. He was wearing a black shirt with a Batman emblem in the middle and a multicolored ski mask, he said.

An investigation was ongoing Monday.
