Police: Victim uncooperative after being shot at Little Rock playground

A man found shot in a Little Rock playground Sunday night told police he fired back at his attacker after being struck in the leg, according to a police report.

The shooting was motivated by "straight beef on the blood," the victim, Anthony Armstrong told police. Investigators wrote in the report that Armstrong became uncooperative as he was taken to hospital.

The 32-year-old from North Little Rock told officers he "would take care of it," and declined to give more information about the shooter, police said.

Armstrong was taken to Baptist Health Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Another North Little Rock man who police said witnessed the shooting told them he didn't know what led to the exchange of gunfire.

The shooting occurred around 5 p.m. in an apartment complex on the 9600 block of West 36th Street, according to the report.
