Police investigate Little Rock store holdup

An armed man robbed a Family Dollar on Monday afternoon in south Little Rock, according to police.

Police were called around 1:10 p.m. after a man with a small, silver semi-automatic handgun demanded money from a clerk at the Family Dollar at 3409 Baseline Road, said Lt. Steve McClanahan, a Little Rock Police Department spokesman.

The man was 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, about 150 or 160 pounds, and black, McClanahan said. He was wearing white tennis shoes, a black hoodie, black basketball shorts and his face was covered with a black cloth and a red bandana, he said.

Nobody was injured, he said.
