Two people have died in one-vehicle crashes on Arkansas roads since Sunday, according to preliminary reports from the Arkansas State Police.
In addition, a Saturday crash in Poinsett County killed a third person, according to a report state police released Sunday.
A Clinton man died Tuesday in a crash on Arkansas 92 in Cleburne County, according to a police report.
At 2:07 a.m., Rick Ison, 51, was turning on a curve when the Ford F-250 he was driving veered onto the shoulder, police said.
Ison then went back onto the road, crossing both lanes of traffic before going into a ditch on the opposite side of the road, police said. He struck an embankment and a tree before his vehicle overturned, police said.
An 18-year-old man died Sunday when he was thrown from his vehicle in a crash in Fulton County, according to a police report.
Jamis Dockins of Viola was driving south on Arkansas 223 at 4:42 p.m. when his vehicle crossed the northbound lane and crashed into a ditch, according to the report. Police said the 1992 Chevrolet Dockins was driving overturned and he was thrown out.
A Saturday crash in Poinsett County killed a Memphis Fire Department lieutenant who was driving north on Interstate 555, according to a police report.
Brent McKinness of Memphis died when the 2004 GMC he was driving left the road at 7:50 p.m. and overturned, tossing him out , police said.
