A Benton man with evidence of ties to a neo-Nazi white supremacist group has been arrested after a police chase that left four cemetery headstones damaged last week in Jacksonville, authorities said.

Zachary Cole McClellan, 20, was traveling as a passenger in a black Dodge Dakota driven by Devin Brannen on June 23 when police attempted to stop the pickup over seat belt violations at Main Street and T.P. White Drive, at which point a chase began, according to a report.

During the pursuit, Brannen failed to yield to an oncoming vehicle as the truck turned left onto T.P White Drive, police said. He continued north on the road and later traveled north on U.S. 67/167 at speeds that reached around 80 mph.

Brannen then drove to the Gregory Place Shopping center, where the Dodge struck a parked vehicle before colliding with a fence and four headstones at the nearby Bayou Meto Cemetery.

At that point, McClellan and Brannen fled on foot, police said, adding that they were later found at two different locations in the area.

Brannen, who initially identified himself as Brandon Sollars, was transported to North Metro Medical Center for complaints of head pain, police said.

He had not been arrested as of Wednesday, police said. It was unclear at that time whether he was still being treated at the hospital.

McClellan was arrested on charges of fleeing, not wearing a seat belt, leaving the scene of an accident and possession of a controlled substance, records show. He remains at the Pulaski County jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.

During a search of the Dodge, police said they found a number of items such as a syringe with a dark liquid believed to be methamphetamine and blood, extensive documentation on the White Aryan Resistance, photos of at least one of the white supremacist group's members and a metal Batman case containing multiple unused baggies.

Police said McClellan and Brannen had tattoos consistent with members or prospective members of the White Aryan Resistance.
