Police: Naked Arkansas man arrested after trying to break into home

Police in Baxter County said they arrested a naked man Tuesday after responding to a call that he was trying to break into a house north of Mountain Home.

After sheriff's deputies arrived at the home on Kingswood Boulevard shortly before midnight, they found two windows screens had been pulled off, according to a news release.

Police said they found 31-year-old Joshua Burkhart of Calico Rock naked in the yard. He was arrested and charged with attempted burglary, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

According to the release, Burkhhart had been camping nearby at Lake Norfolk.

Jail records show that Burkhart was released from the Baxter County jail Wednesday morning on $15,000 bond.
