Style: Rocket’s red glare

The Fourth of July arrives Monday and along with it the state’s largest Independence Day celebration: Pops on the River in Little Rock’s River Market District.

The 33rd annual event begins at noon and concludes with fireworks about 9:20 or 9:30 p.m., with some 4,000 fireworks being fired in roughly 20 minutes from the Main Street Bridge over the Arkansas River.

The free event also features classic cars, food trucks, children’s entertainment and music, including a performance by the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. Sponsored by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, this year’s event benefits the March of Dimes.
