Arkansas man killed in 2-vehicle crash involving tractor-trailer, police say

A Logan County man was killed when his Kawasaki vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer on a highway Wednesday, according to Arkansas State Police.

In a preliminary report, police said the crash occurred at 3:35 p.m. that day when the Kawasaki crossed the centerline on U.S. 64 in Johnson County.

At that point, Michael Hicks, 56, of Scranton was killed when the Kawasaki collided with the tractor-trailer, according to authorities. The type of vehicle and Hicks' classification as a driver or passenger was not immediately clear.

Travel conditions at the time of the crash were described in the report as clear and dry.

Hicks’ death was the 258th reported on an Arkansas road so far this year, according to preliminary state police figures.
