A North Little Rock man who was arrested Sunday told police he was running late to a movie after officers clocked him driving 112 mph on Interstate 430, authorities said.

Police charged 20-year-old Milton Johnson with speeding, reckless driving and improper lane changing after he was arrested around 11 p.m on the southbound highway.

Officers wrote in an arrest report that Johnson was driving a black Toyota Camry that was "weaving in and out of traffic from lane to lane without signaling." The report said he came close to hitting cars that he passed.

Officers began following Johnson after initially clocking him at 105 mph, and reached speeds of 112 mph before pulling him over, police wrote.

According to the report, Johnson told police he was late to a 10:55 p.m. showing at the Rave Theater. According to the theater's scheduled showtimes, the only movie starting at 10:55 p.m. Sunday was the action-comedy Keanu.

Attempts to reach Johnson by phone Monday were unsuccessful.
