A man who was ticketed Sunday night after a state trooper clocked him at speeds exceeding 100 mph on Interstate 430 in Little Rock said he was trying to make it to a theater before the start of a movie.

Milton D. Johnson, 20, of North Little Rock was cited for speeding, reckless driving and improper lane charge after the Arkansas State Police trooper pulled him over at 11 p.m. on the interstate about a mile from the exit for the the Rave Cinemas at 18 Colonel Glenn Plaza Drive.

Johnson was pulled over after the trooper spotted a black Toyota Camry "traveling at a high rate of speed" and "weaving in and out of traffic from lane to lane without signaling."

"I saw [the vehicle] coming close to vehicles that he was passing," the trooper wrote.

The trooper began pursuit with his front radar detector initially clocking the Camry at 105 mph in a 65 mph zone. The trooper said the Camry reached a maximum speed of 112 mph before he stopped the vehicle.

Johnson told the trooper that he didn't realize he was driving as fast or in the manner the trooper said he was. Johnson "advised that the reason he was traveling that fast is because he was trying to get to ... a movie at The Rave," the trooper wrote.

A check of the movie lineup at The Rave listed Keanu with a start time of 10:55 p.m.
