Tuesday recruiting tidbits: Hogs offer junior college OT

Arkansas extended an offer to a junior college offensive lineman today.

Offensive tackle D'Marcus Hayes, 6-6, 315 of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College received offers from Arkansas and Florida this morning. Louisville, Mississippi State, Cincinnati are among his 13 or so offers. Video highlights CLICK HERE

He was high school teammates with Hog tight end signee Grayson Gunter. He said Gunter has talked up the Hogs. Hayes said he plans to visit during the summer.

Razorback receivers coach Michael Smith visited the school on Friday.

Hayes is the fourth prospect from his school to have an offer from Arkansas. Receivers Jonathan Nance and Brandon Martin along with defensive end Isaiah Buggs also have offers. Hayes is expected to graduate in December.

Three Arkansas Hawks, Jonesboro sophomore guard Desi Sills, Little Rock Christian freshman center-forward Kalin Bennett and sophomore guard Isaiah Joe of Fort Smith Northside visited Arkansas on Saturday, according to Hawks executive director Bill Ingram.

Jamie Shaw of Phenom Hoops reports Arkansas offering junior guard Lindell Wigginton of Oak Hill Academy in Virginia. ESPN rates him the No. 12 shooting guard and No. 49 overall prospect in the nation for the 2017 class.

Sophomore quarterback Jacob Howard of Episcopal received an invite to a Florida State summer camp on Monday. He also plans to attend camps at Arkansas, Ole Miss, Miss St, Memphis and Arkansas State. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Hermitage junior athlete Monta Thomas won the Class 2A long jump on Monday with a leap of 21-11.

Highly recruited offensive lineman Aaron Banks, 6-7, 335 pounds of El Cerrito, California said Arkansas offensive line coach Kurt Anderson visited his school on Monday. ESPN rates him the No. 27 offensive tackle and No. 262 overall prospect in the nation.

Highly regarded receiver Joseph Lewis of Los Angeles (Calif.) Hawkins said Hog defensive backs coach Paul Rhoads visited his school on Monday. ESPN rates him the No. 2 wide receiver and No. 15 overall prospect in the nation. Video highlights CLICK HERE

Alabama will check on freshman quarterback Grant Gunnell, 6-6, 190 of St. Pius X High School in Houston today. Oregon, Michigan, Houston, Texas, TCU, Texas Tech and Kansas are also expected to visit the school this week. He and his brother Will, a 2017 receiver visited the Hogs for a spring scrimmage. Arkansas offensive coordinator Dan Enos is expected to visit the school this spring.
