Two snatch purse from early shopper at Little Rock convenience store

Two men robbed a woman as she was walking home from a convenience store Sunday in Little Rock, police reported.

Leonora Jones, 40, told police she left Golden Food Store at West 12th and Woodrow streets, also known as the K-W Food Mart, and walked east about 5:28 a.m., according to a police report. Jones said two men pulled up in a gray Chevrolet Trailblazer in the 3600 block of West 13th Street, and one of the men got out of the vehicle and took her purse.

The vehicle was last seen traveling east, according to the report. Police searched the area but made no arrests.

Officers noted that Jones had several scratches on her chest and shoulder, but her injuries appeared minor.

The robbers are both described as black and between the ages of 30 and 35. The man who took Jones' purse appeared to stand 5 feet 6 inches and weigh 155 pounds. He wore a black thermal shirt and long gray shorts.
