A Miller County man won $100,000 in a scratch-off ticket game started last month, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery said Thursday.

Thomas Clark of Doddridge is the first top-prize winner in $100,000 Bonus Play, which launched April 5, the lottery said.

Clark bought the $5 ticket at EZ Mart, 2910 East St. in Texarkana. The store will get a 1 percent commission, or $1,000, for selling the winning ticket.

Clark told the lottery that he planned to use his prize to get out of debt. He first told his wife, Linda, about the win.
