ROGERS -- Kiara Henry had her last two seasons of high school soccer seasons cut short by injuries, but she will still get the opportunity to continue her career in college.

The three-year starter in goal for Rogers High signed a national letter of intent to play at the University of the Ozarks at a ceremony in the commons area at Rogers High School.

Henry earned all-conference honors and was voted the 7A-West Conference Goalkeeper of the Year as a sophomore, but missed most of her junior year because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her knee. She was sidelined with a concussion midway through this season.

Rogers coach Taylor Vaccaro is pleased Henry will get a chance to play in college located in Clarksville, despite an injury-plagued high school career.

"It's been a tough road without her," Vaccaro said. "She's very talented and tough to replace. I'm very happy she got healthy enough to be recruited. Hopefully, she will have a college career that's injury free. She's had a lifetime of them."
