The Academy of the Arts at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith is continuing its celebration of its 10th anniversary with the production.

"It's a big role, but I'm just taking it one day at a time," she says.

Reynolds splits the role of Narrator with another Muldrow student, Gabrielle Gore.

"We teach the little kids. As we tell the story, it comes to life on the stage," she says.

Reynolds has been in three productions at the academy. Through the classes and productions, she says she has gained a lot of confidence.

"Everyone is supportive," she says.

That kind of environment is what has helped the academy grow over the years to reach this milestone.

"We have accomplished a lot in 10 years, thanks to the faculty who love to work with the kids," says Rosilee Russell, founder and executive director.

The academy began with 70 music students and has grown to more than 700 students in a variety of disciplines, including music, theater and dance.

This weekend's musical is a thank you "to all the people who helped get us here through out 10 years," Russell says.
