Pajama Party Auditions

CONWAY — The Conway Dinner Theater will hold auditions for its summer musical, Pajama Party, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the theater, 2201 Washington Ave., Suite 12. Those planning to audition need to prepare 16 bars of any musical-theater piece. There will be cold readings with directors. Performance dates are July 22, 23, 30 and 31, and Aug. 5 and 6. Second Saturday Bingo

Master Gardeners Plant Sale

CONWAY — The Faulkner County Master Gardeners will have their annual plant sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Conway Expo Center and Fairgrounds, 2502 E. Oak St. (U.S. 64). There is no admission fee. Guest speakers will be Janet Carson at 9:30 and Rand Retzloff at 11. Annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, hanging baskets, trees and garden art will be for sale. The event will offer complimentary tool sharpening and a raffle for a handmade garden bench. Proceeds will fund scholarships for students majoring in plant sciences. St. Boniface Bazaar

NEW DIXIE — The annual St. Boniface Catholic Church Bazaar is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church on Arkansas 60 in Perry County, 5 miles west of the Toad Suck community. A dinner of barbecue beef or chicken will be offered, as well as games for children and a silent auction. Retired Teachers Meeting

CLINTON — The Van Buren County Retired Teachers Association will meet at 11:30 a.m. at the new Van Buren County Library, 119 Shake Rag Road. Music in the Mall

Learn to Swim Program Registration

RUSSELLVILLE — The Russellville Recreation and Parks Department will conduct swim lessons with certified Red Cross instructors at the M.J. Hickey Pool. The program will begin June 6, with sessions and classes determined by the number of participants. Each session will include eight lessons in two weeks. Morning and evening classes will be offered. Meeting Date Change

Tea Party Luncheon

Links for Learning Golf Tournament

MORRILTON — The 11th annual Links for Learning golf tournament will be May 19 at the Morrilton Country Club. Proceeds from the tournament will support the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton Foundation. The three-person scramble will begin with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. The entry fee is $300 per three-person team, and the registration deadline is Sunday. Pig Roast and Auction

Mustang 5K Color Run

PERRYVILLE — The second annual Mustang 5K Color Run to benefit the Perryville boys basketball team will begin at 8 a.m. May 21 at the Perry County Fairgrounds. Registration and packet pickup will be at 7 a.m. Age categories of runners are 12 and under; 13-20; 21-39; and 40-plus. The registration fee is $20 if postmarked by Sunday, and $25 after that date. Quilts of Valor Sew Day

Vocal Scholarship Award Concert

CONWAY — The Kristin Lewis Foundation will host the second Vocal Scholarship Award Concert at 3 p.m. May 22 in Reynolds Performance Hall at the University of Central Arkansas. A reception and awards presentation will follow. The event is free and open to the public. The awards will follow a two-day competition. UCA vocal students competing for scholarships are Veena Akama-Makia, senior vocal performance major, and Juan Garcia, junior vocal music education major. UCA alumna and opera singer Kristin Lewis is the founder of the Kristin Lewis Foundation, which is dedicated to encouraging talented musicians at all levels of performance.

Water-Safety Instructor Classes

RUSSELLVILLE — The Russellville Recreation and Parks Department will conduct Red Cross water-safety instructor classes for anyone who would like to teach swim lessons. The classes will be held from May 23-26 at the Hughes Community Center and the M.J. Hickey Pool. Participants may register and pay the registration fee for the classes at the Hughes Community Center, 1000 East Parkway, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Pool Opening

RUSSELLVILLE — The M.J. Hickey Pool will open May 28. Pool hours are 12:30-6:30 p.m. every day. Daily admission is $4 for adults 18 and older, and $3 for children younger than 18. Individual season passes are available for $75 at the Hughes Center, 1000 East Parkway.

Alzheimer’s Disease Education Program

CONWAY — Living With Alzheimer’s for Younger-Onset Alzheimer’s, a series of education programs for families dealing with younger-onset Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia, will be presented at 10 a.m. June 2 at the Faulkner County Library, 1900 Tyler St. Topics will include developing a care team, legal and financial planning, coping strategies, care and treatment options, communicating and connecting, and maximizing independence. CONWAY — Local author and librarian Adrianna Davis will have a booksigning at 1 p.m. June 4 at the Faulkner County Library.
