Survivors and supporters will take a stroll Saturday through North Shore Riverwalk Park in North Little Rock for the Central Arkansas Heart Walk. Ceremonies start at 9 a.m. and the walk, with 4-, 2.2- and 1-mile options, begins at 9:30. There will also be heart health education and activities for all ages. Legends in Argenta, a preliminary and benefit for September's Legends of Arkansas, Saturday at the Plaza at Sixth and Main streets in North Little Rock's Argenta Arts District, will showcase bands, including Brian Nahlen & Nick Devlin, Sarah Cecil, Ghost Bones and Mulehead, along with arts/crafts vendors, food trucks, Arkansas craft beers and "special performances" by Arkansas Circus Arts and magician Paul Prater. Opera in the Rock will stage Giacomo Puccini's tragic opera La Boheme, fully staged and costumed and in Italian with English supertitles, 7:30 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Sunday at the new Center for Humanities and Arts, Pulaski Technical College, 3000 W. Scenic Drive, North Little Rock. Soprano Maria Fasciano DiCarlo sings the role of Mimi, with tenor Vernon DiCarlo as Rodolfo, soprano Ekaterina Kotcherguina as Musetta and Benjamin Cox as Marcello and the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra in the pit (Philip Mann will conduct Friday night; Geoffrey Robson will conduct Sunday).
