Medicaid cheater from Arkansas gets fine, probation

A Cleburne County woman was sentenced to three years of probation after pleading guilty to Medicaid fraud, Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge announced Thursday.

Jessica Eddy, 36, of Heber Springs, was accused of billing the Medicaid program for services she didn't provide, including on two occasions when she was in jail, Rutledge said in a news release.

According to court records, Eddy pleaded guilty to a felony Medicaid charge on Wednesday. In addition to sentencing her to probation, Pulaski County Circuit Judge Herb Wright ordered her to pay a fine of $2,041.20 and $680.40 in restitution.
