The Tulsa Drillers used a three-run fifth inning to beat the Arkansas Travelers 8-6 on Friday night at ONEOK Field in Tulsa.
The Travs led 6-4 after 4½ innings, but the Drillers responded with three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take a 7-6 lead.

Arkansas starting pitcher Blayne Weller (1-5) allowed a leadoff walk to Andrew Toles, then Brandon Trinkwon hit a 1-1 pitch to right field for a two-run home run, tying the game at 6-6. Three batters later, Jacob Scavuzzo homered to give Tulsa a 7-6 lead.
The Drillers added a run in the bottom of the eighth on Willie Calhoun's RBI single for an 8-6 lead. Grant Dayton struck out the side in the top of the ninth for his first save of the season.
Arkansas took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Eric Aguilera and Jabari Henry were both hit by a pitch, Cal Towey singled, and Aguilera scored on Wade Wass' sacrifice fly for a 1-0 lead. Henry came home on Stephen McGee's RBI ground out to make it 2-0.
Tulsa led 4-2 going into the fifth inning, but Arkansas scored four runs to take a 6-4 advantage. Chad Hinshaw's RBI single cut the lead to 4-3. Two batters later, Henry had a run-scoring single to tie the game at 4-4. Towey hit a two-run double to give the Travs a 6-4 lead.
Weller allowed 7 runs on 8 hits in 4 2/3 innings.
Towey went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI to lead the Travs offensively.
Cardinals 6, Naturals 1
Springfield scored single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings, then put Northwest Arkansas away with a three-run seventh at Hammons Field in Springfield, Mo.
Trey Nielsen went the distance for the Cardinals, allowing 1 earned run on 7 hits while striking out 6 and walking no one. The Naturals' Mauricio Ramos dinged Nielsen with a home run leading off the fifth to tie the game 1-1, but that was it for the visiting team.
Springfield took the lead for good in the bottom of the fifth on Breyvic Valera's single, Harrison Bader's double and Alex Mejia's sacrifice fly.
Tommy Pham, on rehab for the St. Louis Cardinals, hit a two-run home run in the seventh. He finished 2-for-3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.
Zane Evans had two hits for the Naturals.
