Parents of the bride are Michelle and Hugh McDonald, 52 Fontenay Circle. Her grandparents are Wilma Jean and Hugh McDonald and Marjorie and the late Frank Bourdon, all of Fargo, N.D.

Vows were exchanged in front of a floral arch. On each side were pedestal arrangements of hydrangeas, roses, clematis and orchids, and garden urns holding white gardenia topiaries.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an A-line douppioni gown. The bodice had a V-neckline and back and a draped sash at the waist. She carried a bouquet of white peonies, garden roses and sweet peas.

Samantha McDonald of Los Angeles was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Julia Gadberry of Fort Worth; Atlee Johnston of Charleston, S.C.; Kelly Laning of Houston; Megan Quigley of Tampa, Fla.; and Sloane Simon and Kelly Hohertz, both of Dallas. The attendants wore navy dresses in different styles and carried bouquets of peonies, roses and hydrangeas.

Guests were seated by Ryan McDonald of Los Angeles, brother of the bride; Clay Cockrell of Lubbock; Matthew Pierce of Washington; and Heath Whitaker and Jacob Barnett, both of Houston.

A garden reception, also at the lake house, followed the ceremony. Antique chandeliers hanging in trees illuminated the garden. Floral arrangements in the family's heirloom silver and blue and white containers decorated guest tables. The buffet held towering white, ivory and blue arrangements of delphinium, agapanthus, snap dragons and peonies. Music was by High Definition Band of Dallas.

The bride has a bachelor's degree in advertising from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and is a supply chain manager at Sysco Corp.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in international business from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He is employed in product line management for the oil and gas industry.
