Two men were killed in a weekend shooting in Quitman, according to the Cleburne County sheriff’s office.
In a statement, authorities said Sawyer New, 21, and Tim New, 55, were found about 2:20 p.m. Sunday at a home at 4374 Heber Springs Road West. It was not immediately clear if the two were related.
Both had suffered gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.
Their bodies have been transported to the state Crime Laboratory for autopsies.
The sheriff's office declined to provide any additional information Monday morning regarding the ongoing investigation. No suspects had been named in their killings at that time.
