An Arkansas man is being held on a charge of conspiracy to commit rape after agreeing to meet with an undercover officer posing as a girl.
The Faulkner County sheriff’s office said in a news release that the agency arrested Danny J. Wilson, 41, of Quitman on Saturday evening after online communication with an officer that began Thursday.
Wilson had agreed to meet at a predetermined location in the county for the purpose of engaging in inappropriate sexual contact with a minor, according to authorities.
At the time of his arrest, investigators said they seized a sex toy, a cellphone and a receipt.
Wilson was booked about 11:15 p.m. Saturday into the Faulkner County jail, where he remained as of Monday morning. A bond amount has not been set, according to the sheriff’s office.
