WHAT: Heinz Mustard & Pretzel Dippers
STATS: Each 2-ounce package contains 100 calories and 2.5 fat, 17 carbohydrate, 1 fiber, 1 sugar and 3 protein grams. Sold individually. We found them by the bottled mustard at Target, 420 S. University Ave., Little Rock.
THE SKINNY: Who knew that Heinz makes mustard? Well, French's does. After all, the brand best associated with mustard is now pushing ketchup too. The condiment wars have commenced!
Well, battle makes us hungry. And so does shopping. While at Target, we spotted these handy new Heinz Mustard & Pretzel Dippers, featuring a small portion of those grid-shaped pretzels (Snyder's of Hanover calls theirs "Snaps") and mustard for dipping. The 100-calorie packs, which are perfect for lunch boxes, picnics and the pool, come in two varieties: a tangy original and a hot jalapeno. (Yes, jalapeno. Heinz makes a bottled version of that too. Not to be outdone, French's is selling French's Classic Yellow Spicy Mustard "with a touch of cayenne pepper.")
Broken pretzels aside, we'd say this snack cuts the mustard.
