Military movie

The MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, 503 E. Ninth St., Little Rock, will screen 16 Photographs at Ohrdruf, part of its "Movies at MacArthur" series, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Filmmaker Matthew Nash, starting with a small stack of his grandfather's photos, digs into a family secret that began on April 4, 1945, revealing the horror of the first concentration camp found by the Allies, and tells the story of the soldiers who uncovered the Holocaust. Peter Hartstein, who was 10 years old when his family immigrated to Arkansas in 1947, and whose Jewish father was imprisoned at Dachau and later at Theresienstadt, will share his family's story. Movies in the Park

Movies in the Park, the Little Rock River Market's annual outdoor film series, will kick off its 12th season June 8 with the G-rated animated film Monsters University at sundown in the First Security Amphitheater in Riverfront Park, behind the River Market Ottenheimer Market Hall, 400 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock. The film sponsor is SCM Architects. Season sponsor is the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau. Families, picnics and pets are welcome.
