Good old days: Next week is Memorial Day weekend and towns and parks across the state are planning celebrations. For instance, the town of Mount Ida will host its Good Ol' Days Festival with a car show, music and vendors, May 27-28. Call (870) 867-2723 or visit mtidachamber.com.
Next month
Good clean race: Bathtubs will race through downtown Hot Springs on June 4 at the Stueart Pennington Running of the Tubs on Central Avenue. The Parade of Tubs starts at 9 a.m. and the race starts at 9:30. Spectator admission is free but race entry is $25 per team by 8 a.m. May 27. Call (501) 321-2027 or visit hotsprings.org.
