LITTLE ROCK — UALR baseball player Ryan Scott has been named a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy.

The award is named after former Florida State All-American and major league player and manager Dick Howser. The winner is selected based on on-field performance, leadership, moral character and courage.

Scott is hitting .434 on the season with 61 RBIs and 53 runs scored.

Finalists for the award will be announced June 9, and the winner will be announced June 17.
