Where I live: Hillcrest neighborhood of Little Rock with my wife, Mallory

Occupation: For money, I do public relations and communications for a disability advocacy nonprofit, but outside of that I'm a filmmaker and a film festival director and programmer. I probably work 65 hours a week including the 40 hours I work for my day job. My big film thing right now is being director of the Little Rock Picture Show, June 10-12, in conjunction with River City Comic Expo at the Statehouse Convention Center. Our opening night movie, The Arbalest, won the grand jury prize at this year's SXSW (South by Southwest) festival in Austin, Texas.

My favorite space is: Lately, it has been my dining room table.

Why? I sit at the head of the table with our laptop and edit together videos, watch videos, eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, and read. I seem to get more done by sitting straight up than I do lounging on our couch. Plus I can see all of the common areas of our house from there and make sure our two rescued whippet dogs aren't getting into trouble.

If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Probably get a better light than the small chandelier we have now. It's not bad, but it was a DIY project of my wife's and mine, and it has been great for the last five years. It's just time for an upgrade.
