Arkansas women fell to 12th after shooting a 291 in the second round of the NCAA Championships at the Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore.

The Razorbacks, who have a 36-hole total of 583, trail Southern California by 14 strokes. The Trojans followed a first-round 289 with a second-round 280 for a 36-hole total with a 7-under-par 569. They lead Pac-12 rivals Washington (274), UCLA (577) and Stanford (578). Oklahoma State and Oregon are tied for fifth at 579.

Alana Uriell and Cara Gorlei are the Razorbacks’ top golfers, tied for 26th place with an even-par 144. Uriell, who shot a 2-under 70 in the first round, followed with a 2-over 74 in the second. Gorlei improved for a 1-over 73 to a 1-under 71.

The third round is scheduled for today before the field is cut to 15 teams for the fourth round. After the four rounds of stroke play, the top eight teams advance to match play.
