Brooke Elizabeth Parker became the bride of Jason Daniel Edwards at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center. Officiating were the Rev. Jeff Price of Trinity Presbyterian Church and the Rev. David Gill-Parish of Second Presbyterian Church.

The bride is the daughter of Renee and Dr. John Roddey Edwards Dickins of Little Rock and the late Robert Alan Parker of Benton. Her grandparents are James and the late Wanda Mansfield and the late Ellen and John E. Parker, all of Benton.

The bridegroom is the son of Dorothy Jean Edwards and the late Macon Daniel Edwards of Lonoke. His grandparents are the late Mary and Col. Dan Edwards of Hot Springs and the late Jo and Otto Harrell of Little Rock.

Vows were exchanged at the foot of a wooden cross overlooking Lake Ferncliff. Tree trunk pedestals lined the aisles and held vases of sunflowers. Music was by the Arkansas Symphony String Quartet.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory gown with an embroidered sweetheart neckline and lace illusion open back. The layered net skirt extended from a crystal-embellished waistline. She carried a bouquet of roses, sunflowers, chocolate geranium and succulents.

The bride's honor attendants were Courtney Dickey of Houston and Jessica Arnold of Little Rock. Bridesmaids were Mary Crawford of Benton, Emily Gunn of Rogers and Allison Helton of Bentonville. Junior bridesmaid was Amelie Grace Dickins of Little Rock, niece of the bride. They wore coral one-shoulder chiffon gowns and carried bouquets of roses, craspedia and peach hypericum.

Flower girls were Elizabeth Ida Dickins of Little Rock and Hannah Ellen Thompson of Rutherfordton, N.C., nieces of the bride.

Best man was Brandon Burton of Sherwood. Groomsmen were Jason Thrasher of Hartford, George Davis of Prairie Grove, Brett Mabry of Elkins and David Dickey of Houston. Guests were seated by Creighton Parker and Heiskell Dickins, both of Little Rock and brothers of the bride; and Jeremy Forst of Fayetteville.

A reception at Ferncliff's dining hall followed the ceremony. Tables were decorated with Mason jars with sunflowers, zinnias and other local flowers. Additional decorations included upcycled vintage table scarves and shabby-chic garlands. Music was by the string quartet.

The bride is an honors graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and a master's degree in teaching. She is a national board-certified teacher at Holcomb Elementary School in Fayetteville.

The bridegroom is an honors graduate with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in educational leadership from Arkansas State University at Jonesboro. He is an assistant principal at Vandergriff Elementary School in Fayetteville.

After a wedding trip Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple will live in Fayetteville.
