Seven is lucky number

To mark the National Park Service's 100th anniversary, the agency's seven units in Arkansas are promoting the Centennial Iron Ranger Challenge.

It's a fitness endeavor calling on visitors to "hike, bike, paddle, walk, run or roll" at least 100 miles in any or all of the sites. Also eligible to receive the program's commemorative award is activity on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lands, National Forest Service lands, National Wildlife Refuges, Arkansas State Parks and Arkansas Water Trails.
