Arkansas fireman says he was punched at site of car wreck; one arrested

A Little Rock man was arrested Sunday after a firefighter told police that the man punched him in the face, according to an arrest report.

Kevin Myers of the Scott Fire Department responded to a wreck at Lower Steel Bend and Clear Lake Road early Sunday morning, the report said.

When Myers arrived, Edward Richard Babbs, 21, of Little Rock, who was involved in the wreck, attacked him, police said.

Babbs appeared intoxicated when police arrived*, the report said.

He was charged with second-degree battery, reckless driving and driving while intoxicated.

He remained at Pulaski County jail late Sunday night in lieu of $11,500 bond.
