Police: Arkansas woman punched during altercation over Confederate flag sticker

An altercation in a parking lot over a Confederate flag sticker reportedly led to a Hot Springs woman being punched, according to the Hot Springs Sentinel-Record.

The newspaper reported Tuesday that police responded Friday to a fight in a parking lot at Hot Springs High School. A woman there told officers she was punched several times in the face by two juveniles while she tried to protect her son.

The fight reportedly concerned the Confederate flag sticker on the rear window of the son's car, the newspaper reported.

The son could not identify the two others involved but said they had tried out for the football team along with him, according to a police report. The woman said she plans to press charges.
