Sebastian County deputies arrested a registered sex offender Friday morning after an hour-long standoff in an RV near Hackett, a spokesman for the sheriff's office said.

Police responded at 8:30 a.m. to the 2700 block of Highway 10 when a homeowner reported that a man, later identified as Jonathan Dooley, 27, of Cameron, Okla., broke into his RV, Lt. Philip Pevehouse said.

Dooley shut himself in the RV and refused to cooperate or negotiate when deputies arrived on scene. After an hour-long standoff, police forcibly entered the RV and arrested Dooley after a brief struggle in which no one was injured, Pevehouse said.

Dooley was charged with breaking or entering and resisting arrest. He was taken to the Sebastian County jail, where he is being held with no bail set.

Dooley is a registered Level 3 sex offender out of Le Flore County, Okla., according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
