The U.S. Marshals Museum announced it has named CDI Contractors of Little Rock as the construction consultant for its facility.

Christina Thompson Shutt was named director of the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center.

EDUCATION

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock announced Abhijit Bhattacharyya has been chosen as interim dean for its graduate school.

Hendrix College alumnus C.J. Sentell joined the Hendrix Office of Development as leadership gifts officer.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Mainstream Technologies announced the hiring of Jennifer Tate to its software development unit.

LEGAL

Karen Hutchins, executive director of the Arkansas Bar Association, was elected vice president of the National Association of Bar Executives.

MEDICAL

Christopher Moutos, a third-year medical student at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, was selected for a yearlong research fellowship through an initiative of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute designed to help develop the nation’s next generation of physician-scientists.

OPTOMETRY

The Arkansas Optometric Association announced the installation of the 2016-2017 board of directors. They are: Dr. Bryan Armstrong, president; Dr. Matthew Jones, president-elect; Dr. Belinda Starkey, vice president; Dr. Daniel Hennessey, secretary/treasurer; and Dr. Chevron Ergle, immediate past-president.
