Chesney, Old Dominion pair for AMP's program

Blue Man Group makes a stop in its current United States at Fayetteville’s Walton Arts Center, with performances Friday- June 5.

The Journey/Doobie Brothers concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday has sold out. However, the "San Francisco Fest 2016" tour will also bring the bands and Dave Mason to North Little Rock's Verizon Arena on Aug. 17. Tickets are $53.50-$119 plus applicable fees through Ticketmaster.

Fayetteville 'Blues'

Blue Man Group, circling the United States one more time before taking its theatrical tour worldwide, makes a stop at Fayetteville's Walton Arts Center, 495 Dickson St., for performances at 8 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m. and 4 and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. June 5. Family on the farm

The Rogers Historical Museum, 322 S. Second St., Rogers, will hold On the Farm Family Day, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday (rain date June 11), featuring a petting area with animals and pony rides, activities and games for all ages, exhibition booths, food, lawn activities, games and antique tractors. Hot dogs will be cooked on-site by First Western Bank, and chips and drinks will be served for as long as they last. Admission is free. Royal auditions

The Royal Players will hold auditions at 6:30 p.m. June 12-13 for You Can't Take It With You by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart at the Royal Theatre, 111 S. Market St., Benton. Director Frank O. Poppins auditions

Arkansas Public Theatre, 116 S. Second St., Rogers, will hold auditions June 6 -- check-in at 6:30 p.m., auditions start at 7 -- for the musical Mary Poppins (music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman; book by Julian Fellowes, based on the books by P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film; new songs and additional music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe; co-created by Cameron Mackintosh). Concert series

Amy Helm & the Handsome Strangers will perform Aug. 25 at South on Main, 1304 Main St., Little Rock, kicking off the Oxford American magazine's 2016-17 12-concert Concert Series.

The season splits into three subsidiary series of four concerts each: "Americana," "Archetypes & Troubadours" and jazz.

TheatreSquared grant

The Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Arts' Building Bridges Program is giving Fayetteville theater company TheatreSquared a three-year, $250,000 grant to fund the creation of Romeo & Juliet: Damascus, a free-adaptation "reimagining" of William Shakespeare's play in contemporary Damascus in collaboration with Syrian director Kholoud Sawaf.

The project's first phase, toward an eventual planned fully staged production, will be a three-week workshop as part of the five-play 2016 Arkansas New Play Festival, with staged readings at 7 p.m. June 17 at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, 600 Museum Way, Bentonville, and 8 p.m. June 23 at Fayetteville's Walton Arts Center's Nadine Baum Studios, 505 W. El Dorado concerts

Main Street El Dorado's 2016 Murphy USA Summer Concert Series will kick off as country singer-songwriter William Michael Morgan headlines a concert at 7 p.m. June 25 on Union Square, North Washington Avenue and East Main Street, El Dorado. Admission is free.
