Bank heist suspect called robber of Little Rock Exxon

A man arrested Friday in a North Little Rock bank robbery also is accused in the armed robbery of an Exxon in Little Rock, according to police reports.

Police were called shortly after 9:30 a.m. Friday to the Bank of America at 4103 E. Broadway in North Little Rock after receiving a report that a man with a gun robbed the bank, according to a statement from the North Little Rock Police Department.

Officers later found Jevon Cowans, 43, hiding under a house, according to a North Little Rock police report.

Police took Cowans to the station for questioning, where he admitted to robbing the Bank of America, according to the report. Officers arrested him on charges of aggravated robbery and criminal trespassing, according to the report.

Cowans later was transferred to Little Rock police as a suspect in the armed robbery of an Exxon, according to a Little Rock police report.

In that robbery, a man entered the Exxon and tried to steal beer, according to the Little Rock police report. He then showed the cashier a silver gun in his waistband and demanded the money out of the register.

Little Rock police arrested Cowans on charges of aggravated robbery and theft of property, according to the report.

Cowans remained in the Pulaski County jail Saturday night with no bail set for the robbery charges.
