Travelers fall in 11

The Arkansas Travelers' three-game winning streak ended Sunday night, as the San Antonio Missions won 2-1 in 11 innings at Wolff Municipal Stadium in San Antonio.

It was tied at 1-1 entering the bottom of the 11th inning.

Nick Torres began the Missions' rally with a one-out single off Travs reliever Danny Reynolds (0-3), then stole second base. Mike Olt walked and Nick Schulz was hit by a pitch to load the bases.

Yeison Asencio hit a ground ball to second baseman Alex Yarbrough and Schulz was out at second base but the Travs could not complete the double play and the Missions avoided a three-game sweep by the Travs.

Andrew Daniel and Bo Way each went 2 for 4 to lead the Travs. Daniel and Way were the only two Travs with hits Sunday, as Arkansas was outhit 7-4.

Adam Climber (2-1) allowed 1 hit and struck out 3 in 2 innings of relief for San Antonio. Michael Kelly started, allowing 1 run on 2 hits in 6 innings. He struck out six and walked three.

The Travs took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning.

Daniel broke for third base with two outs and Anthony Phillips at the plate, and scored when Missions catcher A.J. Kennedy's throw went into left field.

NATURALS 4, HOOKS 1

Jake Junis allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 7 innings to help Northwest Arkansas beat Corpus Christi at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Junis (4-3) struck out six and didn't walk a batter.

The Naturals had nine hits, with every starter recording a hit. Jack Lopez hit his fourth home run, a two-run shot in the top of the ninth that gave Northwest Arkansas a 4-1 lead.
