July trial date set for Arkansas man charged with murder, kidnapping

DE QUEEN — A July trial date is set for a De Queen man charged with killing one man and kidnapping another.

The Texarkana Gazette reports that 20-year-old Aaron Loving is to go on trial starting July 27 in Sevier County.

Loving is charged with first-degree murder in the February shooting death of 37-year-old Amado Gallardo after Gallardo reportedly told him to leave his home. Authorities say Loving later forced his way into another man's car and forced the man to drive to Oklahoma.

Loving eventually kicked the man out of the car and was eventually arrested after leading police on a chase that ended in the parking lot of the sheriff's office in McCurtain County, Oklahoma.

Loving has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, kidnapping, aggravated robbery and a weapons charge.
